Drop-in

Indierummet at QueerCon

Open for the duration of the convention in Stora salen (2nd floor, accessible by elevator)

Indierummet is a loosely organized group of role-players who like their RPGs to be a little smaller, a little more abstract, and they also like to show these games to the world. They usually arrange drop-in RPGs at GothCon and LinCon, but this year they’re also here at QueerCon!

Welcome in if you want to chat about or play indie RPGs!

Preregistration (with exceptions)

Tabletop RPG scenarios

Four sessions in Salongen (ground floor, but with 2 steps to enter)

There will be four predesigned scenarios with preregistration available at QueerCon. The scenarios are led by Thomas Geraghty, DMEggs. These are not very traditional RPGs, as drop- in and out is accommodated for! If you don’t sign up you can wait for the 10 minutes before the session starts and if one of the players hasn’t showed up you can play. If someone has to leave early people can jump in. All material needed to play will be provided at the location.

These four scenarios will be played entirely in English.

Scenario 1: Mothership
Thursday, 12.30 – 16.30

Mothership is a mature game that takes its inspiration from sci-fi classics like Alien and Event Horizon. In it, players take on the roles of scientists, teamsters, androids, and marines on the hunt for unexplained phenomena in derelict space stations and abandoned colony worlds. Much like its inspirations, provoking violence is rarely the best course of action. That’s because combat is both brutal and deadly, and out in space life is cheap.

Scenario 2: EXTREME MEATPUNKS FOREVER
Thursday, 17.00 – 21.00

EXTREME MEATPUNKS FOREVER is a tabletop roleplaying game where you’ll play as a gang of queer antifascists in a strange place called Meatworld. Spinning through space on the screaming corpse of a dead god under the glow of an absent sun, the people of Meatworld harvest its flesh to make their technology. That tech includes meatmechs, giant flesh suits you can pilot. You’ve got one of these mechs, which is just as well, because Meatworld is full of monsters, old gods, a land that wants to eat you alive and so, so many hecking Nazis. You’ll play to bash the fash, explore the weirdness that is Meatworld, attack and dethrone god(s), solve mysteries like a gore dripping Scooby Gang, deal with trauma, and if you’re lucky, make out with your friends.

Scenario 3: The Wildsea
Friday, 12.30 – 16.30

Some three hundred years ago the empires of the world were toppled by a wave of fast growing greenery, a tide of rampant growth spilling from the West known as the Verdancy. Now chainsaw-driven ships cut their way across dense treetop waves, their engines powered by oilfruit, rope-golems, honey and pride.  You play a wildsailor, part of a motley crew consisting of humanity’s weathered descendants, cactoid gunslingers, centipedal fungi, silk-clothed spiderfolk, and other, stranger things. With your fellow crewmembers, you’ll journey across the lingin’ tide discovering charts, pursuing drives, and avoiding mires of the deep.  The Wildsea hungers and grows, roots sinking deep into the forest floor as the waves above ripple with life. What will you discover in its depths?

Scenario 4: DIE RPG
Friday, 17.00 – 21.00

DIE RPG is a roleplaying game based on a comic where you play a group of authentically flawed and desperate real-world people (Personas) who are sucked into a cursed roleplaying game and take on the form of heroes, villains and power players (Paragons). You’re trapped in a fantasy world stitched together from your obsessions, dreams and nightmares. What will you do to get home safe? What will you do to stay here forever? You all have to agree whether you stay or go, and dead people can’t vote so good luck.
