Vampire Cruise

Free League Publishing’s Into the Odd

Game Master: Anna

3-5 players

Language: English

Friday 18-22

You’ve heard stories of the ship being dredged up from the seafloor and of the buckets of odd sea creatures they had to clear out before building staterooms.

Stories about the Captain who’s never seen before midnight. About the unsettling shape of the boxes that were loaded into the darkness of the lower decks.

The crowd waiting to embark doesn’t seem worried though. And before you know it you’re relaxing by the pool, ocean sparkling all around, and you’re not worried either.

Players will embark on a totally safe ship voyage powered by Into the Odd, an ultralight roleplaying system set within an industrial world of cosmic strangeness, powerful artifacts, and a healthy dose of whimsy. No prior experience is required to play and characters will be created at the table.

The suspicious candidate

Free League Publishing’s Dragonbane or Fate

Game Master: Jonas/Jona

Language: Swedish, English on request

Thursday 18-22

Friday 18-22

“The suspicious candidate” is a scenario written for Dragonbane or Fate, and takes place in Jona’s fantasy world Eama which is a classical fantasy world with some specialties. For example, discrimination based on sex, gender or sexuality are totally unknown. Different democratic systems of government are not uncommon. Beside peoples like elves, dwarves and humans – the most common ones – there are plenty of trolls, but very humanised.

The players will navigate a large city in a realm governed by an elected council as election time draws near. They are pulled into the power struggle and will have to deal with themes like democracy, reconciliation and inclusion, and to watch out for sharp swords and cunning sorcerers.

Our Game Masters

Jenny

Jenny is an experienced game master who has played RPGs since age 7, and GMed since 12. Her favourite TTRPG is Blades in The Dark, and she is currently GMing a campaign in Dragonbane: Trudvang, and plays a Barbarian in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign with her girlfriend. When she doesn’t have time off, Jenny works as a youth leader.

Jonas/Jona

I am a 58-year old roleplayer and civics teacher, who has been passionate about roleplaying games since 1984, equally comfortable GMing as playing. For a long time, Drakar & Demoner Expert and Rolemaster were the main systems, but also En Garde, Kult and Ars Magica – however I have broadened by experience horizon even more for the past 7-8 years, with games like Fate, Vaesen, Coriolis, D&D 5e, Mutant, Thirsty sword lesbians and Blue Rose, as well as my own Eama.

For the past three years, I have worked as a Game Master. At Tyresö library for a youth group (I work in the municipality), on Södermalm for Studiefrämjandet for a separatist group of girls and non-binary youths, and regularly for Free League Publishing.

My passion is in storytelling, the narrative co-created around the table, as well as drama, relationships and feelings, and I put a lot of effort into creating environments and situations that can inspire that kind of play.

Anna

I am Anna, a long-time enjoyer, and occasionally a professional nitpicker, of many flavours of TTRPGs. I love stories that are a little unusual and that invite a sense of wonder and curiosity, both about the story itself and about the people we get to share it around the game table.

Spontaneous roleplaying

During parts of the event, there will be unbooked rooms which can be used if you spontaneously gather a group for an RPG-session! Ask the Reception or the Board Game Café for more information.
